Juneteenth Celebration: Restoring the Legacy
Join History on Wheels for a FREE community event at the historic Casseday House in Joliet, future home of the African Descendants Military and Historical Museum.
This powerful event brings the community together to honor freedom, reflect on our shared history, and celebrate the resilience and contributions of African Americans. Through live performances, spoken word, music, and storytelling, we uplift the often-overlooked stories of African American military service while creating space for connection, culture, and community healing.
Enjoy a full day of entertainment, food trucks (available for purchase), local vendors, and interactive experiences for all ages as we continue restoring this historic space and building a lasting legacy for future generations.
